Sometimes I look at an image like this, taken yesterday at the Darndale stables, and am unsure if Iike it , or not. Through the bluriness and bad light , I see fear , sadness , mischievousness and everything that makes us human , i.e. the good and the bad.

Save the Darndale stables

Was out in Darndale today, where a group of local teens brought me to their makeshift stables , which is under threat from the local council. I think it is important to keep the stables going ! The horses are an important fabric of local life , the youth care and clean their horses , and apart from getting immense enjoyment, have a great bond with them. Horses like Guinness and Joyce are an integral part of Dublin life . Rather than confisicating them, maybe the money should be used in upgrading the stables to modern standards.
