Was out in Darndale today, where a group of local teens brought me to their makeshift stables , which is under threat from the local council. I think it is important to keep the stables going ! The horses are an important fabric of local life , the youth care and clean their horses , and apart from getting immense enjoyment, have a great bond with them. Horses like Guinness and Joyce are an integral part of Dublin life . Rather than confisicating them, maybe the money should be used in upgrading the stables to modern standards.
